To Help Our Brothers and Sisters
During the month of Ramadan in 2020, we distributed food packages to 350 people of poor backgrounds and we distributed hot cooked meal to almost 5000 to similar target population for their iftars.
The recent increase in the international prices of food commodities has had a significant impact on Pakistan’s poor people. About half of the country’s population lives in a condition of food insecurity. And many more are at risk. In the 2020 Global Hunger Index, Pakistan ranks 88th out of the 107 countries with sufficient data to calculate 2020 GHI scores. With a score of 24.6, Pakistan has a level of hunger that is serious.

Since hunger is a big problem in Pakistan, we always look for ways to help the poor and needy ones. During the month of Ramadan in 2020, we distributed food packages to 350 people of poor backgrounds and we distributed hot cooked meal to almost 5000 to similar target population for their Iftars.  To reach our target population, we worked with teachers and headmasters of government schools who helped us identify the needy in their local areas.

This upcoming Ramadan we are aiming to provide more food packages and hot cooked meals to those most in need. Too many people struggle to find food for iftar; parents painfully realize that they will not be able to give their children a festive Ramadan or Eid. And with resource depletion and restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic, food availability and financial resources are even harder to come by for people in Pakistan. Your donations has the power to help change this.
